Ba'al

about me
I am Ba'al...well, one of his clones. 14 to be exact. We've come to the Pegasus Galaxy in the hopes of defeating the Wraith and taking this galaxy as our own. So far the Genii, all the worlds under their influence and a dozen worlds besides are under Our control.
We recently lost our Queen, Astarte, to the Atlanteans and we are not pleased. After calling for more of my brothers, we rescued our Lo'Tar, Steven Rayner from death in the Atlantean ocean. Now that we do not need to worry about our most loyal servant, we can begin our war on the Atlanteans in ernest...after we take care of the Wraith.
Our Likes: Knives, talvak acid, gravity wells, Steven Rayner, brainwashing, cloning, sarcophagus
Our Dislikes: Dr. Daniel Jackson, Dr. Rachel MacGregor, Tau'ri, Tok'ra, General Jack O'Neill, the shol'va Teal'c, the Ori and the Wraith

14 watched as his Jaffa finished attaching the shield to the chaapa'ai. As soon as they were clear he activated it with his hand device. With a hiss a golden shield surrounded the chaapa'ai and 14 gave his loyal Jaffa a pleased smile.
"You have done well, my Jaffa, and shall be suitably rewarded." The Jaffa bowed to their Lord and filed away, leaving only 14's most trusted guard. After a moment, 14 waved them away. "Go. I have no need of you for now. Join your brothers in celebration." His guard bowed then left as ordered.
Alone beside the dialing device, 14 stared at the shield surrounding his chaapa'ai. It would not protect him from a space attack, of course, but it would stop the Atlanteans from simply walking through at their leisure. Or the Wraith, for that matter.
But now wasn't the time to worry about the Wraith. Today one of many 'upgrades' which his brothers had brought with them from the Milky Way. Looking up at the three ha'tak building anti-gravity platforms hovering in the air several miles away, 14 smiled to himself. One of the things that his brothers had brought with them were the plans and supplies for building one of Anubis' 'super' ha'taks. One of the moons of Saffon was being used to build one of those massive ships, but it would be finished soon. Once it was...well...the Wraith would have a much more difficult time of defeating him, that was for certain.

14 stood on the balcony of his rooms, watching the second moon rise from the west. His hands were clasped behind his back and he wore a beige turtle neck knit sweater and khaki slacks. The Tau'ri certainly had a wide and comfortable selection of clothes that suited his taste nicely. And with the arrival of 20, 21 and 22 came even more Tau'ri clothes and supplies.
The door to his rooms opened and a familiar set of footsteps joined him on the balcony. Out of the corner of his eye he saw one of his brothers--21, if he wasn't mistaken--mirror his stance.
After several minutes of silence, his brother spoke. "Steven will awaken from the sarcophagus soon. What will you do with him?"
14 considered his brother's question. It had been a week since 22 had retrieved Steven from the Atlantean ocean mere seconds after death. Since then, Steven has been the first occupant of the newly built gravity wells in the lower chambers of the palace and has spent numerous hours in the sarcophagus. But he was satisfied that Steven had learned his lesson and tonight he had planned on moving Steven to the set of rooms just down the hall that had been made specifically for him.
"He will be given one day of rest in his rooms. Assign Craynar to see to Steven's needs."
His brother--and he was possitive now that it was 21--nodded. "Very well, it will be done." 21 paused before continuing. "Our spies within Atlantis and the SGC report that the former host of our Queen, Rachel MacGregor, has discovered the means to create zero point modules and has offered that knowledge to Earth for a heafty sum." At 14's curious look, 21 chuckled. "She...requested several personal items for her husbands and had each department--indeed, every Atlantean, from what we can tell--to request something for themselves. It would appear that the Atlanteans consider themselves more seperated from the Tau'ri than we first imagined."
14 nodded thoughtfully. "So it would seem. See if our people can get the plans for the ZPMs. To have such power would be an unimaginable bonus."
"Especially since the war with the Wraith isn't going according to plan." 21 grimaced as he rememebered the battle in which he lost several al'kesh to the Wraith several systems away. "Recent reports from Atlantis tell of a cloaked Wraith ship attacking the city shortly after the first zero point module was finished. In fact, it was only with that module that they repelled the Wraith."
14 scowled as he spun around and stalked into his rooms. "The Wraith can cloak, but their Darts are still loud. Not that it helps in space."
Sitting at 14's desk with his boots propped on the surface was 23--identified by his penchant of wearing 'muscle' shirts and tight jeans. "Then it's a good thing we have millennia of experience with the cloaks, isn't it?" He idly cleaned his nails with a dagger, barely glancing up at his brothers.
14 nodded. "Yes, it is."
21 clapped 14 on the shoulder. "Do not worry, brother. We will show the Wraith the wrath of the goa'uld. They cannot fight us, the Atlanteans and themselves at once; they will fall before long.
Look at his younger brother, 14 sighed softly. "I hope you're right, brother. For all our sakes."

Ba'al clone 15 smiled as he studied his...guests. It really was a shame that the Tau'ri killed Astarte. Even thinking it made him burn with rage. His beloved was dead. Gone. Forever lost to him. Because of her.
Eyes narrowed, Ba'al spoke. "You will tell us what you did to our Queen and then you will feel her pain a thousand fold."
He turned to Steven and his demeanor gentled, but only slightly. "Steven. You have served us well and you will be rewarded accordingly. Come here." He waits until Steven is close to the 'door' then lifts the field around it so Steven can exit. It immediatley goes back up.
Ba'al runs the gold-tipped fingers of his left hand down Steven's cheek. "Our most loyal servant. Without you, we would never have suspected anything was amiss." Using the same hand, he grabs Steven by the back of his neck and pulls him in for a demanding kiss. He caresses his mark on the back of Steven's neck, letting Steven know who he belongs to...and reminding the Tau'ri where Steven's loyalties lay, since the mark was facing them.

Ba'al stared at the stargate then turned to the dozen Jaffa behind him. "We are walking into a trap. The chances of any of us surviving are slim. This is why my brothers were awakened." Ba'al looked up at clone 14, who stood above them on the balcony of their suite in the palace. "One of them will remain here. The other is already in position in orbit of the Atlantean homeworld in a cloaked al'kesh. He will transport as many of us as he can when the time comes. However, his first priority is to procure our most loyal servant, Steven Rayner, the Tau'ri Daniel Jackson and the host of our beloved Queen Astarte, Rachel MacGregor.
"On that note, know this: any who harm them and survive will wish they hadn't." Ba'al met the eye of each of his Jaffa before turning to Chalnok, who stood ready by the dialiing device. "Prepare to dial."
Taking out the communication ball, Ba'al opened a line to Steven and his former Queen. "My Queen. Steven. Are you ready for my arrival?"
"Good." He nodded to Chalnok to dial the gate. Once the wormhole was established, he continued, "Lower the shield, my love. My Jaffa and I are coming through."
Ba'al disconnected the call then nodded to his Jaffa. "For our Queen, Astarte!" They echoed his cry then followed him through the gate.
---
Above Atlantica, Ba'al clone 15 put down the communication ball. 14 had just told him 13 had stepped through the gate. Moments later, his own sensors confirmed 13's arrival. Turning to the Jaffa who would become his First Prime should anything happen to his brothers, 15 said, "Be ready to transport Astarte's host, Steven and Jackson at the first sign of trouble. My brother, Chalnok and his Jaffa are secondary."
Mar'tok bowwed his head. "Yes, my Lord." He stood ready at the controls, prepared to do his Lord's bidding.

Ba'al read the text message--for lack of a better term--sent by his 'father' on Earth.
13,
On the way are three ha'taks, five al'kesh and seven tel'tacs. Of course each ha'tak carries a full compliment of gliders and Jaffa.
I have outfitted each ship with Asgard shields and of course the Asgard hyperdrive. I have also sent 20, 21 and 22. Wake 14 and 15 and update them. I have faith in you, of course, but the Tau'ri--especially the Atlanteans according to reports--are very lucky.
They won't arrive before you avenge our Queen, but they will arrive. Retrieve Steven, if possible. He has been loyal to us and we would very much like to know how he was compromised.
Good luck.

Ba'al nodded to himself as he finished reading. Good. He knew there was a chance he wouldn't come back. That was why he was having an al'kesh cloaked in orbit around the Atlantean homeworld.
Soon.

Ba'al stared down at the communications ball pensively. Steven was late in his report. This could be explained by Astarte still in possession of Steven's communication ball, but...
Ba'al stood and walked over to the large glass doors that led out to the balcony of his suite. His palace complete, he was now focusing his forces on building more ships. This planet had been chosen for more than just it's isolated location. There was a large naquada vein in the mountains nearby. Soon he would have a fleet and could begin his dominion of this galaxy.

Ba'al stared at the stasis jar. He hated having Astarte confined like this, but there was no host so no option. It was a very near thing that she did not die when her Jaffa rebelled against her. As it was, her host was injured beyond even the healing power of the sarcophagus. Before she was removed, he promised to find another host and he would. Ba'al was a man of his word and there was none he held higher than his Queen. His wife. The one being in existance he has ever loved.
"Soon, my love." He caressed the jar, the glyphs of her name. "I will find you a host worthy of your beauty and might, my love." He looked out of the window. His palace was complete and he was in his rooms. This planet truly was beautiful. A base, a home, worthy of Ba'al and his bride. "Soon..."

It was nearing the time for Steven to call with his report. This would be the first of such reports since his arrival in this galaxy and Ba'al would admit, if only to himself, that he worried about Steven's safety while they spoke.
While on Earth, Steven had proven himself to be Ba'al's most loyal servant. Certainly the most loyal he had seen in many, many years. It would annoy him a great deal if Steven was caught, or worse killed.
But that is neither here nor there. Soon his most loyal will contact him to report what he has seen. Until then, Ba'al stares down at the Genii leader, Laden Radeem. He is bound and on his knees, looking worse for wear with two black eyes, bruises everywhere and a long cut across his left cheek.
"I have an appointment to keep, so our little chat will have to wait. It'll give you time to think over my proposal." Ba'al nodded to Chalnok then spun on his heel and left the room.
The Genii had been pathetically easy to subdue, once they had seen the power of the Goa'uld. Oh, they had resisted, of course; tried to take ambush Ba'al and his Jaffa. It seems they liked the technology his Jaffa had shown when they had first scouted this world. A wave of his hand, sending several Genii through the air, and watching their bullets deflect from his personal shield had gone a long way in convincing them to surrender.
Now all that needed to be done was to 'convince' the Genii leader, Laden, that Ba'al's way was the best. They would be under Ba'al's rule regardless, but it could be a benevolent rule or a harsh one. It was his choice, really. Protection from the Wraith or not, Ba'al would leech the resources from this planet.

Ba'al watched his loyal Jaffa and human servants quickly erect what would be his palace. Things were running quite smoothly. He had several of his humans scout out some of the worlds the previous Trust spy had recovered for him.
The more primative worlds, he would return to personally to show them his power and offer his protection from the Wraith.
Of course, he would have to defeat a hive ship first. From all accounts, his own armorments should be sufficient against one hive ship. Perhaps he would even confiscate one for his own use; it would be good camouflage.
He heard his First Prime, Chalnok, walk up behind him. He waited a minute before acknowledging him. "Yes?"
"My Lord, preliminary reports tell us that the Genii have spies on many worlds. They appear to be the most advanced civilization at the moment in terms of weaponry. Rumors also seem to indicate that everyone believes Atlantis to be destroyed by the Wraith."
Ba'al raised an eyebrow, though his First Prime could not see it. "Is that so? Hm. Then it's a good thing we know differently, isn't it?"
"My Lord?"
Turning to face Chalnok, Ba'al smiled. "For now we will leave Atlantis be. They possess weapons like the ones that decimated Anubis' fleet on Earth. The Genii, however, sound promising. Perhaps it is time for me to get some...'fresh air', so to speak." He nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, I believe it is time for me to see more of this galaxy. Starting with the Genii."
Chalnok bowed deeply. "I will prepare an escort, my Lord."
"Good. I wish to leave within the hour." Ba'al watched as Chalnok bowed again then left. He turned back to the window he had been viewing, watching his servants and Jaffa work on his palace. "Soon..."

It had taken some time, but he had finally done it. He had outfitted one of his ships with an Asgard hyperdrive and was now on his way to the Pegasus Galaxy and Atlantis.
Well, perhaps not Atlantis. Not yet. He had a very loyal servant planted there now and he would keep his Lord appraised. For now he would find an uninhabited world to set up base. Then...
...then this galaxy and their Wraith would know the power of the Goa'uld.
Ba'al smiled.
